The Gun Show was in full effect last Tuesday with 8 guys staying together to the end. Darin pulled us around while I pretended I could go for sprints. I think I at least pushed the pace a little that way. Plus, there was a sizable "sweeper" or "B" group, whatever you want to call it, this week. If you want to get faster and stronger, the Gun Show is where it is at.
That be a picture of my pale legs exposed to sunlight for the first time this year. The Southern Kettles finally opened up this week and I was able to get out there on Wednesday and ride the whole system. It was in the upper 60's to low 70's and the trails were in great shape besides some downed trees.
Unfortunately, it is Winter here again as the temps are back in the 30's, at least on the East Side by the lake, and there is little hope in sight. Then again, the weather forecast is usually wrong, so maybe it will all turn around. It would be nice to be able to hit the trails a few more times before racing starts in May!
